如果要說某樣東西是誰的，可以用所有格或所有代名詞。
兩種常見形式
my bag / your pen / his bike
The bag is mine. / The pen is yours.
簡單記法：my、your、his、her 後面通常要接名詞；mine、yours、his、hers 後面通常不用再接名詞。

常見錯誤
錯誤 1：mine 後面又接名詞
This is mine book.
This is my book. / This book is mine.
mine 通常單獨使用，不直接接名詞。
錯誤 2：my 和 mine 混用
The pencil is my.
The pencil is mine.
句尾單獨使用要用 mine。
錯誤 3：his / her 用錯
Lucy loves his cat.
Lucy loves her cat.
Lucy 是女生，所以用 her。
